RWA provided comprehensive civil engineering, planning, and land surveying services for a 295-acre master planned residential community in the City of Fort Myers. The project consists of 837 single family and multifamily units and included the Arborwood Preserve Amenity Center comprised of the Bar & Grill, Coffee Shop and Fitness Center.

Bent Creek

RWA provided the comprehensive planning & zoning, civil engineering, and land surveying services for 359 single family residential lots and amenity center on 140 acres in Naples, FL. This project required a rezoning from agricultural lands to residential, a request for a reduction of setbacks, and the removal of a cell tower lease.

Community School of Naples

RWA has provided civil engineering and surveying and mapping services for several Community School of Naples projects situated on 75-acres of land. Over the past couple of years, RWA has been responsible for projects such as the school’s new athletic stadium and field project. The new facility sits on 4-acres of land and provides 1,000 stadium seats, restroom concessions and a multi-purpose artificial turf field. RWA also provided services for the expansion of CSN’s High School building. This increased the existing square footage of the building by 30 percent. Lastly, RWA provided civil engineering and surveying and mapping services for the new 16,500 square-foot science building as well as the new activity center at the school.

Ellington Hotel
DETAILS

RWA provided the professional planning, civil engineering and land surveying services associated with the development of an existing and forth coming mixed-use hotel/condo project within Collier County’s CRA district. This landmark project is located on approximately 2.0 acres at the intersection of Davis Blvd and US 41. It will consist of one condo/hotel tower, a 4-story parking structure with a hotel amenity deck above, a residential amenity deck, associated on-site parking and driveways.

Fort Myers Beach Library Expansion

RWA was part of an architect led team and provided site planning, civil engineering design, construction plan preparation, and permitting services for the development of a 14,000 square foot expansion to the existing 14,855 square foot Fort Myers Beach Public Library on approximately 1.23 acres in the Town Fort Myers Beach.

Golden Gate Parkway Overpass
DETAILS

RWA, was a member of the project team that was responsible for the planning, design, and construction of Collier County's first overpass project. This “gateway” to the City of Naples included a decorative bridge structure, street lighting, and substantial landscape improvements. The project called for the three-mile reconstruction/conversion of a rural four-lane to an urban six-lane roadway and construction of a grade-separated overpass. The project required tremendous interagency and inter-design team coordination and cooperation to allow for incorporation of the construction of the Livingston Road extension and the proposed Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) I-75 interchange at Golden Gate Parkway.

Hidden Harbor

RWA provided comprehensive planning, civil engineering, and land surveying services for the development of a 54.6-acre property along the Ten Mile Canal.  The project included 72 single-family residential lots, amenity center with a pool, and 56 boat docks.

Lee County MPO
DETAILS

RWA led a team of professionals to develop Lee County’s first comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian master plan. This project entailed extensive data collection and analysis, public involvement, and development of a needs plan, project evaluation methodology and an implementation plan. As part of the project, the consultant team had to closely coordinate with Lee County and all municipalities within the County to ensure uniform data and the development of countywide bike/ped priorities. The public involvement efforts included a project website, online surveys, public workshops, one-on-one meetings, and volunteer workgroups to ground-truth existing facility data throughout the County. This project was awarded the 2011 ULI Sustainability Impact Award for promoting alternative modes of transportation, complete streets, and compact communities.

Legacy Gateway

RWA provided professional planning, civil engineering and design work, and land surveying services associated with the development of a luxury apartment community on approximately 66.89 acres in Fort Myers, FL.  The amenities at Legacy Gateway Apartments include a multi-story clubhouse overlooking an outdoor pool and lake, fitness studio, garage parking, pet spa, and rock-climbing wall.

Lexington Country Club

RWA has provided professional planning, engineering, and land surveying services for a 450+/- acre master planned residential community that includes 1,479 single and multifamily homes and an 18-hole championship golf course in Fort Myers, FL. RWA also provided the professional services associated with the expansion of the Lexington Country Club amenities. This included the expansion of the Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Grillroom, the Island Club expansion, and Tiki Bar.

Myakka River Park

RWA, Inc. was selected as part of Charlotte County’s continuing services contract for planning services, to lead the planning and initial development phase of the Myakka River Park Master Site Plan effort. Charlotte County sought to develop a comprehensive master plan to provide their community with a new park facility on an undeveloped prime waterfront property of approximately 133 acres that encompassed all their identified needs and wants.  RWA provided site inventory and analysis, data gathering, visioning/public engagement, schematic design, design development, construction services and permitting.  The completed project will be one of the County’s premier passive recreational parks.

Orchid Run

RWA provided professional planning, civil engineering, and land surveying services associated with the development of a premiere luxury apartment community on a ±21.9-acre site in Naples.  The project consisted of 100 residential condominium units in 22 separate buildings and a clubhouse recreation center.

Pelican Preserve

RWA provided comprehensive civil engineering, planning and land surveying services for a 1,200-acre multi-use master planned community. The amenities within this project included four buildings to house an auditorium, meeting spaces, fitness center, indoor pools, cafes, administration, and sales offices.  In addition, the development included outdoor recreation facilities consisting of a resort-style pool, tennis courts, ball fields and an outdoor amphitheater. RWA has been involved with this mixed-use residential community for over 20 years and has provided all facets of entitlements, design, permitting, and construction observation services.

Pelican Sound

RWA provided professional planning, engineering, and surveying services associated with the expansion of the Pelican Sound Golf & River Club amenities. This included the expansion of the Clubhouse Tract, the new Tennis and Pickleball Facility, River Club/Restaurant, Fitness Center and Meeting facility, a canoe and kayak launch and a second observation deck on the river. Also, planned is a River Park area that will have both passive and active recreation, a new fitness trail within the FP&L easement and a new boat storage area.

RWA provided comprehensive civil engineering, planning, and land surveying services for the development of a 589-acre master planned single family residential community in Fort Myers, Florida. The community included 1,400 +/- single family lots and an amenity center that included a swimming pool, fitness center and multi-purpose gathering rooms.

Solstice

RWA provided the comprehensive planning & zoning, civil engineering, and land surveying services for a gated master plan community and amenity center in Wellen Park, FL. The project is on 115 acres and includes 270 +/- single family units and twin villas.

The Quarry Golf Lodge

RWA provided professional planning; engineering and surveying services associated with the expansion of the Golf Lodge at the Quarry. This includes the expansion of the Maintenance Facility. Also planned, is a new Proshop and Grillroom. RWA services included site planning, boundary survey, civil engineering design, construction plans, site development permitting, water management design, ERP permitting, record drawing surveys and construction phase services.

RWA provided comprehensive civil engineering, planning, and land surveying services for land development improvements, including the design, permitting and construction phases for this 375-acre master planned residential community in Bonita Springs.  The project included an 18-hole golf course, clubhouse, fitness center, and a total of six residential phases.

Veterans Memorial Blvd

The construction of a new school facility located on Veterans Memorial Boulevard west of Livingston Road requires an extension of the existing roadway to allow access to the school. The school is on an accelerated design, permitting and construction schedule, therefore it became imperative that Collier County develop, permit, design and construct the improvements for the eastern portion of the roadway to allow construction access and ultimately interim access to the school on their timeline. RWA, was asked to complete the preliminary engineering and environmental permitting to allow the County to meet their deadlines with the School District. RWA prepared a Pond Siting Report to identify the location and size of required stormwater management facilities for a major arterial roadway within a 2.3-mile roadway corridor. RWA also prepared and provided support services for the necessary permit applications to the SFWMD and ACOE required for construction. Additional specific task assignments included limited topographic survey, location of jurisdictional wetlands, 60% right of way maps, conceptual roadway design, a drainage and pond siting analysis, a master drainage infrastructure plan, submitting an ERP application and support of an ACOE application for two phases of construction.

Vincent's Acres

RWA was selected by Habitat for Humanity for the design, entitlement and permitting of Vincent's Acres, their new flagship community in Collier County. Vincent's Acres is a 17-acre, 85-unit residential development located off Davis Boulevard. RWA, Inc., is a proud supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Collier County and has worked closely with them for close to 20 years. This project was a significant departure from previous projects and incorporated numerous planning innovations.  The community design incorporated new urbanist and pocket neighborhood concepts to promote social interaction, walkability, and an overall sense of community.  The project included significant passive and active open space and was designed around linear parks that form the heart of the community.  The units are single-family units versus Habitat’s typical duplex configuration.  RWA planners worked closely with County staff to develop an alternative sidewalk plan and street tree program to enable the desired vision.  Vincent's Acres also includes on-street parking, alley loaded units with individual garages, public access to the lake, recreational amenities for children and an HOA to ensure maintenance and upkeep of the community. This innovative design helped the project garner support from neighbors and resulted in a unanimous approval for the rezoning.

RWA provided professional civil engineering and land surveying services for the development of a new car dealership on an 11.36-acre parcel in Naples. The project consists of an automobile dealership, service center, and carwash.

WaWa

RWA was responsible for entitling, designing, and permitting this WAWA facility located within an older existing commercial plaza (US 41 and Rattlesnake Hammock) in Collier County. This redevelopment project required planning & zoning, surveying, and engineering services.

Winding Cypress

RWA provided the comprehensive civil engineering services for Phase 3 of a resort-style community in Naples, FL. This phase of the neighborhood included 202+/- attached villas and single-family homes and 25 +/- acres of lakes.

Woodsprings Hotel

RWA provided professional civil engineering and land surveying services associated with the development of a 46,000 square foot 4 story extended stay Hotel on a 3-acre parcel at the intersection of I-75 and Collier Boulevard in Naples.  This is the third hotel project that RWA has successfully completed for this client.
