For the past five years, RWA has served as Engineer of Record for Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc., and has successfully completed numerous utility design projects under this contract. These projects consisted of the design, permitting, and construction phases of multiple sanitary sewer force main and water main relocations. The construction administration services included project administration, bidding, construction services and spot inspections, testing and permit certification, as-built preparation, pay estimates, and project closeout.
RWA provided design, permitting, bidding, and construction phase services for a master lift station located within the Coconut Square project which included dual 24” force mains from the proposed master lift station to connect to the existing 24” force main located on U.S. 41. The design was based on the existing flows generated by the systems connected to the existing 24” force main, as well as proposed development north of Coconut Road that will connect to the proposed force main. The total project involved approximately 1,200 feet of 12” force main and 800 feet of 24” force main, including two 24” directional bores under U.S. 41, most of which was constructed along the U.S. 41 corridor in advance of the road widening project recently completed by FDOT. RWA was responsible for coordination with the roadway design engineer, other utility providers, and FDOT during the design of the force main and master lift station.
