For the past five years, RWA has served as Engineer of Record for Bonita Springs Utilities, Inc., and has successfully completed numerous utility design projects under this contract. These projects consisted of the design, permitting, and construction phases of multiple sanitary sewer force main and water main relocations. The construction administration services included project administration, bidding, construction services and spot inspections, testing and permit certification, as-built preparation, pay estimates, and project closeout.
RWA provided design, permitting, bidding, and construction phase services for an HDPE raw water transmission main, varying in size from 20” to 30” in diameter, from an existing raw water main at the intersection of Strike Lane and Three Oaks Parkway to the water treatment plant on East Terry Street. The transmission main was necessary for the future well-field expansion along Three Oaks Parkway. The project consisted of 17,000 feet of transmission main constructed in the median of Three Oaks Parkway, including multiple directional drills for road and culvert crossings. RWA was responsible for coordination with Lee DOT, SFWMD, the roadway design engineer, and various utility contractors for the project design. This project is awaiting budgetary funding for construction.
