RWA is participating on the consulting team to prepare the Collier County Watershed Management Plan. RWA is providing services to URS, the prime consultant for the project. URS is providing project management and overview services, and RWA is providing engineering and planning services. The planning services will facilitate the amendments to the Growth Management Plan that will be needed as a result of the watershed master plan.
The engineering services are focused on assisting URS in acclimating to local engineering and design practices. RWA has significant knowledge of local conditions and permitting regulations, and has successfully permitted many of the area’s master planned communities over the past twelve years and, as a result, are very familiar with the existing drainage infrastructure in Collier, Lee, and Hendry Counties.
In addition, RWA is assisting with the development of the scope of services for the water management portion of the Collier County Watershed Master Plan. URS and RWA developed the scope of services for the required modeling and assisted the County in the fee negotiations associated with the contract to provide modeling services to support different infrastructure improvement alternatives anticipated in the Collier County Watershed Master Plan.
