Project Location: Naples, FL
Development firm Vanderbilt Partners turned to RWA for the site planning and comprehensive civil engineering design and permitting services of this 8-acre upscale waterfront condominium development with a 220-units in three towers and three midrise buildings. Site facilities also included a 2-story office building, a clubhouse and pool facility, and a 40-slip marina in the Vanderbilt Lagoon. Other project features included the filling of an existing waterway to eliminate poor water quality caused by a lack of tidal circulation, the construction of an aquatic planting area between the docks and the seawall with a viewing pavilion, and a hardscape project identification tower that also housed the booster pumps for the water and fire protection systems.
RWA Engineers produced the design plans for the site drainage and sub-surface stormwater management system, sanitary sewer collection system, potable water and fire protection facilities; and detailed the demolition of the existing site improvements. Additionally, a temporary construction access on Vanderbilt Drive and a permanent driveway and turn lane complex on Vanderbilt Beach Road were designed and coordinated with local transportation officials. Working with local utility companies, RWA coordinated and mapped the layout for telephone and electrical service. Upon successful delivery of the construction documents, RWA subsequently performed the construction administration and final certifications of the project.
