RWA, Inc., a professional services firm based in Naples, Florida offering land use planning, civil engineering, surveying and mapping solutions, is proud to announce that CEO Christopher Wright, P.E. will be participating in the 2015 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Florida Summit to be held on Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
The ULI Florida Summit is hosted and produced jointly by the five ULI District Councils of Florida. The event connects Florida’s leading real estate experts and practitioners from private practice, public sector and academia for two days of speakers, expert panel discussions, interactive sessions, mobile tours and networking events. More than 500 ULI members and non-members convene at the annual statewide Summit.
Wright was instrumental in the formation of the ULI Florida Product Councils and has been an active member of the Florida Product Council Executive Committee since its inception in 2013. Wright is also a member of the Multi-Family Development Product Council. On a local level for ULI, Wright is on the Executive Committee for the Southwest Florida District Council and is the co-chair for the Memberships and Sponsorship Committee.
Florida Product Councils (“FPC’s”) are small, intimate groups of State of Florida ULI Members who meet for a day of programming at the ULI Statewide Conference and a minimum of one other meeting during the year. The FPC initiative is modeled after the National Product Council Program of ULI, but is available to all ULI members and is designed for Florida participants.
In total, there are five Product Councils that have been formed in the state at this time.
- Community and Housing Development Council (CHDC)
- Hospitality and Recreation Development Council (HRDC)
- Urban Development/Mixed Use Council (UDMUC)
- Multi-Family Development Council (MFDC)
- Medical and Healthcare Development Council (MHDC)
“The Product Councils are designed for influential real estate executives with diverse backgrounds and experience to provide an open, collaborative, and educational forum,” said Christopher Wright, P.E., RWA CEO. “The Florida councils began as an idea to bring national councils statewide to discuss cutting-edge issues, help solve problems, and learn best practices applicable in each market.”
